scholarships
Twice a year, HSO awards scholarships which enable students to take private music lessons, rent instruments, or attend summer music camps.
To be eligible to receive an HSO scholarship, students must:
1. Play an orchestral instrument
2. Be a rising 7th through 12th grader
3. Participate in at least one of the following:
a. Henderson County Schools Band or Orchestra Music Program
b. Hendersonville Symphony Youth Orchestra (HSYO)
Deadline for Spring 2024 scholarships: May 3, 2024

Two letters of recommendation should be submitted to info@hendersonvillesymphony.org or to the following address:

Note: While financial need is considered, greater emphasis is placed on student applications and teacher recommendations. Need-based scholarships are also available for all Symphony Education Programs. Our commitment is that no student is turned away from our programs for lack of funds. Please contact the individual program managers directly for information on tuition scholarship applications or to support students in the various programs and ensembles.
