Daugherty's Red Cape Tango pits Superman against his most powerful adversary ever, Doomsday, in a battle to the end. Canadian pianist Carter Johnson joins the orchestra performing Ravel's Concerto for the Left Hand, a work composed for a WWI veteran who lost an arm in battle. Love triumphs evil as the evening concludes with Rimsky-Korsakov's dazzling Scheherazade.
